Laity UNLEASHED
Explore Your God Given Gifts & How to Use Them
with Ginny Itz and Debbie Moffett
Sunday Evenings | The Anchor House | $80
God created all of us on purpose for a purpose.
There are gifts, strengths, and things each of us are passionate about that all come from God. We often hear call stories from clergy on when they first heard God call them into ministry. What we don’t hear as often are the call stories from the laity of the church. But the reality is, God calls each of us and it is our responsibility to discern and respond to that call.

In this 6-week course, we will use the Birkman Method as a tool to discover more about ourselves, our strengths, our interests, how we see God in the world and where all of that might intersect with the needs of the world around us. Each week we will explore what it looks like to discern how God is calling each of us in this current season of life and develop a strategic plan for how we can take next steps.
After registering for the course, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to complete the Birkman Assessment. If you have previously completed the Birkman questionnaire, there is no need to answer the questions again. Please contact Ginny Itz, and we can arrange to transport your Birkman data into our Laity UNLEASHED database.
What to Expect:
This class will meet Sundays, 6:00-7:30 pm for 6 weeks, September 7 through October 12.
We will explore and develop the tools available to us to help us be who God has created us to be. We will hear from Ginny Itz, long-time contemplative community member and certified Birkman Coach, as well as Strategic Planner and lifelong United Methodist Debbie Moffett. Each week, we will integrate contemplative practices and wisdom with new insight from the Birkman method, as well as spend time discerning and developing how we might respond to the current call God has on our lives.
