Are you interested in the mind, body, and spirit connection?

In this course, we will use yoga practice and this book, The Yoga of Jesus, as a lens to explore the gospels and what it means to embody spirituality. Each class will include time for breath work, meditation, yoga postures, and poses, as well as a discussion at the end of each class.

What to Expect:

Each class will consist of 15 minutes of breathing and meditation, 45 minutes of yoga postures or poses, and 30 minutes to an hour of discussion on either yoga in general or the suggested reading.

Jonathan Mangrum Headshot

Meet Jonathan Mangrum

Jonathan Mangrum was born in Harlingen, Texas and raised in Mission, Texas. He has been a lifelong learner with a particular interest in spirituality and the life of Christ. In 2010 he began practicing Yoga in Austin, Texas. Yoga became a part of his life experience during a transitional period where a new understanding and growth began to happen in his spirit. He completed his 200 hour level of yoga teacher training and national certification at The Yoga Institute in the Spring of 2023. In the Fall of 2023 he read The Wisdom Jesus by Cynthia Bourgeault, and was shortly thereafter invited to The Center for Christian Spirituality and has attended weekly services since.
