The Secret Life of Bees: A Faith & Film Retreat | Saturday, June 7 | 9am – 2pm | The Anchor House | $35

The Center welcomes Lori Anderson to lead us in our June Guided Silent Retreat. Welcome to a day of retreat where we will explore themes of family, suffering, healing, and belovedness in “The Secret Life of Bees.” Together, we will glimpse God’s presence as woven through the world and characters Sue Monk Kidd created in her 2002 novel. Elements of the day include large group gathering, a shared meal, silence for individual prayer, and optional sharing at the end of the day. 

Lori Anderson nurtures sacred connections through writing, facilitating retreats, and small groups. Lori’s passions include exploring the contemplative spirit of the Gospels and discovering God’s presence in the created world. Lori and her husband Josh have 2 young adult children, they live in Spring Branch, and participate in the life of The Center.
