Discovering the Inside Story of Us:

The Enneagram Map as a Guide

An Introductory Workshop with Sandra Smith

Saturday, February 21, 2026 | 9:00a-4:00p | $25 | The Anchor House

The Enneagram is a powerful and intricate map indicating the automatic patterns of our inner operating system—our ego structure. It brings to consciousness “why we do what we do” thus deepening our self-awareness. As our awareness deepens, we become less reactive, more curious and compassionate.

During this retreat, participants will learn:

I

the three centers of intelligence

I

inherent strengths of the types

I

each type's placement of attention, blend spots, motivation, core avoidance

I

the qualities of our Essence

I

practices that expand our understanding of who we think we are

Become more patient with differing points of view, cultivate more curiousity, and lessen our judging.

Understanding the nine different filters and motivations allows us to be more patient with differing points of view, cultivate more curiosity, and lessen our judging. Knowing these filters and motivations help us become more understanding in our relationships with others. What influences a type One in parenting their children? How does a type Seven become more effective in the workplace? Exploring the components of our Enneagram type offers some insights into these questions.

This system is a psychospiritual model offering us an understanding of how our inner psychological landscape weaves into our spiritual lives either supporting or hindering our spiritual growth.

Introductory Workshop

While this workshop is an introduction to the Enneagram, it has much to offer to both beginning and knowledgeable participants.

This workshop will offer presentations, dyad exercises, self-reflection, group discussions and panel interviews to facilitate our learning process.

You need not know your type to participate.

Join us for a fun and fascinating time of exploration!
