Event Details

For September’s guided silent retreat, we will contemplate the theme of “unfolding wholeness.” In her book The Emergent Christ, Ilia Delio says, “The more we become whole within ourselves, the more we generate wholes among ourselves. To become a whole-maker is to become wholly centered in God.” Using The Center’s mission to “companion with those who seek a deepening awareness of God that makes a difference in who they are with God, self, others, and creation,” we will provide ways to pray for wholeness – with God, ourselves, others, and the created world. There will be plenty of time for reading and reflection, prayerful walking of our backyard temporary labyrinth, and space for prayerful art. Participants will receive handouts with readings, prayers, and affirmations for use as lectio divina, as well as reflective questions. Lunch is provided. To register, click here. The cost of the Retreat is $20 and includes the price of lunch.  We don’t want anyone to miss out because of pricing. Contact Haley for information on scholarships at hbrown@chapelwood.org.
